Beer Festival

Today was the annual Beer Festival at St. Mary’s City.  I just want to say thank you to all who stopped by my tent to see my work.  It was a pleasure to talk with you.  To you who bought the eggs and the chicks – I thank you for seeing the fun and the joy in the little drawings.  It’s wonderful to know that they’ll be appreciated and enjoyed.

To you who bought “Sunrise to Sunset” (#1, #3, and #4) – thank you.  It’s one of my favorites as well.  And to you who purchased the Maryland Blue Crab – thank you.  That was my second zen-tangle and shall always be very special.  The making of it was a great adventure.

I’m weary.  I had a photography shoot after the Beer Festival.  It went exceedingly well.  It was the awards banquet for the 12th Annual AUVSI Student Competition.  It was exciting to see teams from all over the world.  The teams entered unmanned air vehicles into the competition and cash prizes were awarded based on how well the planes were able to spot coded targets on the ground.  The theme this year was for unmanned air vehicle systems to assist fire fighters.  It was good to see everyone and to see the joy of the students as they received their awards.  Congratulations to all teams.

What a marvelous day it was.  It was one of those days that has made me a richer person.

Best for last – THANK YOU, SARAH!  You were wonderful to go with me to the festival and help me.  Your company was welcome and enjoyable.

And with that I bid you all a good night.  I leave you in the company of the eggs and the chicks that hatched from them.
